Brief: Axis Bank, India’s largest bank has grown in the last 24 years to become a trusted institution serving over 2 crore customers. As a responsible corporate citizen, the Bank has involved itself in meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. This year, The AXIS Bank Leadership Development Team is partnering with 17000 ft Foundation to impact the lives of children living in remote corners to create a Social Impact Program in some of the toughest terrains of Leh & Kargil Districts. Axis Dil Se is a humble attempt to transform over 100 schools through modern infrastructure. 16 Vice Presidents will travel to Ladakh for an exhaustive 10-day visit and travel to four remote villages where they will stay in simple homestays, interact with the villagers and spend their days working at the school. They will work with the 17000 ft team to install playgrounds and conduct various teaching sessions with the children on reading and the basics of banking and saving. The team will interact with the local dignitaries and conduct exhaustive surveys in their villages to understand and document banking and financial practices adopted by the people of remote Ladakh. A team of senior executives will be travelling to Leh to flag off the activity on the ground on Sep 9th.
